This Privacy Policy explains how UK Militia Forces (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website (the “Site”), including features that connect EVE Online and Discord accounts.

1) Who We Are

This Site is operated by UK Militia Forces, an EVE Online corporation community. For privacy requests, use the contact method listed on the Site’s contact page.

2) What We Collect

A) Information you provide

  • Account details you submit (such as display name, and other profile fields)
  • Content you post (forums, comments, profile content, uploads)
  • Messages you send to us (contact forms, support requests)

B) Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device and OS information
  • Pages viewed and actions on the Site (basic usage and security logs)
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies”)

C) EVE Online SSO and ESI data (CCP)

When you sign in using EVE Online SSO, we collect data provided through that login flow, such as:

  • EVE character name and character ID
  • Authorization details necessary to keep you signed in

If you connect ESI (EVE Swagger Interface), we may store and use:

  • The ESI scopes you approved
  • Access tokens and refresh tokens needed to request ESI data
  • ESI data returned by CCP that is needed to run Site features (for example, corporation related participation tools, character related dashboards, or other authorized integrations)

We only request and use ESI data that is permitted by the scopes you explicitly authorize.

D) Discord SSO data (Discord)

When you sign in using Discord SSO or link a Discord account, we may collect and store:

  • Discord user ID
  • Username and display name
  • Avatar (profile image) and basic account metadata returned by Discord
  • Server membership and role related information only if your approved permissions and our configuration require it for features like verification, access control, or syncing roles

We do not access your Discord password. We do not read your private messages.

E) Account linking data

If you link EVE and Discord to one Site profile, we store mapping data that connects:

  • Your Site user account
  • Your EVE character identity (ID, name)
  • Your Discord identity (user ID, name)

3) How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create and manage your Site account and community access
  • Authenticate you using EVE Online SSO and Discord SSO
  • Link your accounts and enable features that require identity verification
  • Provide Site functions such as forums, leaderboards, dashboards, and member tools
  • Moderate content and enforce community rules
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Maintain logs for security and troubleshooting
  • Improve Site stability and performance

4) Cookies

We use cookies to support login sessions, remember preferences, reduce spam, and support basic analytics or security tooling when enabled.

Public content
Anything you post publicly (forums, comments, profile fields set to public) can be visible to others.

6) Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to operate the Site and provide features, including:

  • Account data while your account remains active
  • Security logs for a reasonable period for abuse prevention and troubleshooting
  • ESI and Discord tokens as long as needed to keep integrations working, or until you disconnect them

If you disconnect EVE SSO, ESI, or Discord SSO, we stop using those connections and may delete stored tokens within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for security or legal reasons.

7) Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

8) Your Choices and Rights

You may be able to:

  • Request deletion of your account data (where feasible)
  • Disconnect EVE and Discord connections from your profile (if the Site provides an account connections page)

To make a request, contact us using the Site’s contact method. We may ask for verification to protect your account.

9) Third Party Links and Embedded Content

The Site may include embedded content (videos, images, posts) or links to third parties. Embedded content can behave as if you visited the other site directly and may collect data based on their policies.

10) Children’s Privacy

This Site is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
